Containers Office Hours | S1 E1 – Open Source on Amazon EKS
One of the core tenets of Amazon building Elastic Container Service for Kubernetes (EKS) was to “actively contribute to the Kubernetes project”. In this premiere, we discuss what the EKS team has been working on to advance Kubernetes including eksctl with help from Ilya Dmitrichenko. We examine the direction of aws-iam-authenticator after moving from Heptio owned to being donated to SIG-AWS, Other topics include: how the K8s VPC CNI plugin enabled a flat networking stack & how SIG Cloud Provider is working to enable out of tree cloud-provider support, the ALB Ingress controller & work with Kubeflow.
